It's a special day for SOMEONE out there today ... I mean, if I were to adopt the enthusiasm of 'normal' people and honor the occasion, I CAN say that at the end of this day 2008 years ago was Jesus born!! But it's Christmas eve, and I choose not to.
Just another day?
Just another day labeled with a special occasion so that people do actually HAVE something to look forward to every boring year?
Just another day filled with expectations because of THAT label?
Just another day filled with the nauseating air of shattered dreams; the sting of promises unfulfilled; the un-nerving thought of an un-certain future; or maybe, just maybe, the dark burdening taint on the widening cracks of your ever-so-fragile heart?
Just another day.
Well now ... sounds like its just another day to me. Be it just another day to escape, to confront, to lurk in voids of emotion, to dwell in sorrow or to bask in happiness ... your choice.
It is what it is: just another day ... :)
